Confidence and a positive self image starts in the mind, but ensuring a total and complete beauty package, you must also maintian your body. Make your body beauty ritual important and add some key treatments that will keep you glowing from head to toe. Some simple body maintenance rituals can help you feel more beautiful and radiant for better self confidence.
Here are GREAT recipes for making your own exfoliating scrub from things you already have in your kitchen.
Beautiful skin on the outside begins with hydrated cells. A new approach suggests that all water intake doesn’t have to be the old fashioned 10 glasses a day. Your healthy foods i.e. fruits and vegetables are loaded with nutrients and structured water, the kind that nourishes and hydrates your cells from within. A terrific source on the subject is The Water Secret: The Cellular Breakthrough to Look and Feel 10 Years Younger by Howard, Murad, M.D.
Clean, exfoliated and hydrated skin will give you a healthy glow and keep your skin resilient, fresh and youthful.
Know Your Carbs: There are two kinds of carbs: simple and complex. Complex carbs are essential to your body and come from fruits, veggies, and whole grain giving your body the energy and nutrients you need to be at peak performance. Simple carbs are not the best for your body and can make you sluggish. These come from white foods (bread, pasta, rice, and sugar) and are found in all our guilty pleasures like cookies, cakes, snacks and most processed foods. Replacing your snacks with fruits and vegetables will give you more energy, a full tummy and will make you feel better about yourself knowing you made the right food choices for body maintenance.
Here is a great resource for getting started with good carbs.
